Our Mission
To provide a program that allows schools, businesses, and community leaders to strengthen relationships in order to invest in human capital and workforce development. The goal is to provide employment opportunities and instill the small town values of hard work, determination, and citizenship in both high school and college graduates in the Edgar-Clark County Area.

Clark County: Casey-Westfield, Marshall, Martinsville Our MentorsBob Abernathy of Paris is our Vocational Coach. Bob recently retired from the manufacturing industry where he started at the botom and worked his way up to COO. Bob is a Lean Manufacturing Expert and has saved many companies a lot of money, cutting costs and eliminating waste.
Delana Parker has worked at many jobs, from teaching to secretarial work, to manufacturing. She is currently in her 3rd year at Marshall High School, where she teaches Work Ethics, Desktop Publishing, Personal Finance and Sports and Entertainment Marketing. FundingFunding for the ECCEL Academy is provided by donations from individuals, businesses, community organizations, and local foundations from the greater Edgar - Clark counties.

This is a regional course in cooperation with Edgar and Clark County High Schools. Students from Casey, Martinsville, Marshall, Paris, Chrisman, and Kansas will explore career and leadership opportunities throughout Edgar and Clark Counties. Through classroom and onsite experiences, students will learn from business leaders throughout the region about business leadership, work ethics, community involvement, entrepreneurship, and the presence of these businesses on a local, regional, national, and global scale. Students will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at the Kansas Christian Church or at businesses throughout the region. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will participate in reflections, research, and other assignments. Students will participate in job shadow(s) and the organization of a promotional project in the Clark – Edgar Community.
